Phoenix pro scooters were founded by Tom Floyd in 2009 who aimed to design scooters that were to be the best in the market. Tom himself had some back ground in Bike industry so he knew how to manufacture his ideas, but he needed help to put his ideas on to paper. The deck of the scooter is the base on which the whole scooter is built. This deck has to be something that is able to fulfill every requirement of the rider like giving him the control, balance and traction he needs. That is why phoenix has three different types of decks to offer to its riders. The standard Phoenix scooter deck is an overall balanced base. It is made of T6 aluminum alloy that gives it strength without being heavy. The rider can select a 4 inch wide or a 4.5 inch wide base which is rounded at the bottom. The round bottom gives the rider the ability to grind at ultra-fast speeds without worrying of catching a squared edge. The second option is the Integrated deck to be used with integrated 45/45 headsets, allowing super smooth spins. It also has an oversized head tube with a “P” from Phoenix cutout. The third option is the Reventon deck. It is available in 4.25 inches to 5.25 inches wide models with varying lengths. Reventon decks are specially built for the riders who require grip to pull of the hardest of nose tricks. It is also the only deck that is flat at the bottom for grinding and 6 degree concave in shape for best traction and control. Phoenix is also working to provide with signature decks so that the riders not only customize their scooters for performance but for style as well.
The only drawback of the Phoenix scooter deck is the somewhat higher price tag it comes with. As all Phoenix scooter parts including decks are laser cut, heat treated for hardness and precision CNC machined, they cost more to manufacture and the burden is shared by the customers. Compared to comparable scooters, this brand is actually quite reasonable.
Although Phoenix scooters are more expensive than cheap knock off brands, they come with the highest quality and performance that is needed by the pro riders.
